FREE QR CODE GENERATOR

WhatsApp QR Code Generator

Create a QR code that opens a WhatsApp chat with an optional message.

Made in your browser
No account needed. Yours to keep.

1. Add your content

Include the country code and omit the local leading zero. The number must have an active WhatsApp account.

Your QR code is generated directly in your browser.
Starter templates & captions Ready-made styles and download frames

Apply a ready-made design. Your content stays unchanged.

Choose a frame to include your caption in downloads, copied images and print sheets. The selected size is the QR area; the frame adds space around it. Captions are saved with design presets.

Saved designs

Save colours, styles, frames, captions and your logo on this browser. Your encoded QR content is never included. Up to 10 designs; saving an existing name updates it.

Preset files include saved logos. Import adds designs without replacing existing ones; conflicting names are renamed. Maximum 10 designs in total.

Local project library

Save the complete content, design, frame, caption and print label on this browser. Up to 20 projects. Saving an existing name updates it. Projects are not uploaded or synced.

Content is stored unencrypted in this browser profile. This can include Wi-Fi passwords, contact details and event information. Anyone with access to this profile may be able to read it. Clearing site data removes your projects.

Scan advice & checks

Automatic verification checks a PNG copy against your intended content. Transparent images are checked on white. Test the final print or display with your phone too.

Print options & size guidance

SVG is recommended for printing because it can be scaled without losing quality.

Print-size guidance

This estimate uses the actual QR density and frame size, a 0.4 mm module target, and a 10:1 distance-to-symbol-width rule of thumb. It is a planning aid, not a scan guarantee. Artwork size includes the border, frame and caption. These settings do not resize downloaded files or print sheets.

QR printing reference: keep a four-module clear border.

Use your full international phone number. Scanning opens a chat; the person scanning chooses whether to send the message. Test that the number belongs to the intended WhatsApp account before printing.

WhatsApp click-to-chat instructions

Prepare a chat link, not an automatic message

Use a number registered with WhatsApp in full international format. For example, a UK number beginning 07700 would use country code 44 and omit that domestic leading zero. Do not include an extension. Follow the linked WhatsApp instructions for your country’s number format.

An optional message gives the recipient context, such as “I would like to ask about Saturday appointments.” It is a draft for the person scanning to review and send. Avoid putting private order details or account information into a publicly printed QR.

Test before putting the number on display

  1. Scan the downloaded image on a phone.
  2. Confirm that the correct business or person appears.
  3. Check the prepared message and the available WhatsApp app or web flow.

The automatic scan check cannot confirm account ownership, availability or a reply. Print a readable contact route beside the code and make any staffed hours clear. Changing the destination number requires a replacement QR image.

Brand names and service availability

This tool prepares your supplied WhatsApp link. It is not an account-verification service or a product endorsed by WhatsApp. Chat behaviour depends on WhatsApp and the recipient’s device.
