The reader displays the decoded content without opening links automatically. The Open website button appears only for HTTP and HTTPS addresses.

Tips for reading a QR code

Use a clear image with the whole QR code visible and some space around its edges. If an image contains several codes or the code is small, crop around the one you want to read. For animated images, only the initial frame is read.

A decoded link has not been checked for safety

Read the full address before opening it. Look for an unexpected domain or a misspelling, especially before signing in or paying. The reader does not inspect the destination, remove malicious content or certify who created the QR.

If no code is found

Use the original image where possible, retain the clear border and crop closely around one code without cutting off its edges. A higher-resolution source can help; enlarging a blurred screenshot cannot restore missing detail. This reader accepts image files rather than a live camera feed.
