Link to the arrival point people actually need

Paste a complete map-sharing URL from your chosen service. This page encodes the link you supply; it does not search for an address, request your location or generate coordinates. A scanner may open a browser or a compatible maps app.

For an event, the correct entrance can be more useful than the centre of the building. Inspect the pin before copying the link, particularly when parking, deliveries and public entry use different access points.

Check the route on a visitor’s phone

Open the map link without your signed-in account.
Check the place name, pin and entrance.
Scan the exported code on another phone and inspect the opened destination.
Print a street address and any essential access instructions beside the code.

A map link is not a live location feed

The QR holds the fixed link, not your current position. It does not track visitors or guarantee that a navigation service will choose a suitable route. Avoid sharing private home locations or restricted access information on public signs.

Keep the destination available

A passed scan check confirms the payload, not map accuracy, transport access or link availability. External map services may change links or app behaviour. Recheck existing signs when entrances or business details change. Use a maintained directions page if you need to update parking and arrival instructions without reprinting the QR.
