This estimate uses the actual QR density and frame size, a 0.4 mm module target, and a 10:1 distance-to-symbol-width rule of thumb. It is a planning aid, not a scan guarantee. Artwork size includes the border, frame and caption. These settings do not resize downloaded files or print sheets.

Open a draft addressed to your inbox

Enter the recipient email address without a mailto: prefix; the generator adds it. For example, entering help@example.com creates a mail link for that mailbox. Scanning may offer an email app when one is configured on the device.

This form provides a recipient field. It does not provide separate subject, message or attachment controls, and it does not send email for the person scanning.

Check the recipient before printing

Use a role mailbox you can keep active, rather than a temporary personal address.
Scan the exported QR and open a draft in your phone’s email app.
Check the full recipient address; send a test message yourself if appropriate.
Print the address beside the QR for people using another device.

Understand the limits

A passed automatic scan verifies the encoded text, not mailbox existence or deliverability. No configured email app may mean no draft opens. Spam filtering and mailbox changes can also interrupt the journey. The address is visible to anyone who can read the code, so choose a public contact address.

Choose another contact route when needed

For a form with required fields or file attachments, create a QR for your contact-page URL. To share an importable name, number and email together, use a contact card. The ZXing email reference describes the mail-link format.
